Contact UsJava Swing is a tried-and-true framework for desktop applications built in the Java programming language. As such, its origins trace back to the late 1990s, but its feature still supply what many individuals and organizations need today. One of its key advantages is that it is “platform-independent” so that a program built on this framework is capable of running on a variety of operating systems: Linux, Windows, etc.
Although there are newer libraries and frameworks which might be preferable, and we wouldn’t advise building new applications in a new organization on this platform, if you have applications which need further development, or this is already a preferred resource in your organization, we are happy to provide services for Java Swing development, or help chart a course for migrating to JavaFX or other platforms.
The capabilities of Java Swing applications are extensive. This is largely owing to the fact that use of the Java Swing library will not hinder you from using other libraries for various features in your application.
If you have need to connect to a database and access its resources, Java Swing will provide a flexible front-end representation of your data and methods to access or update that data, while connections are made to a local database, a network database, or a database outside your own network. In the same way, if you need to draw upon web content, access API resources, update local files, or send emails abroad, all of this can be managed from the same Java Swing application.
